I have completed the installation, even though the script documentation informs users to create folders like guestbook and sub directories that wont work unless you edit the script or you upload the folders to the root of your webspace!
Now, it took me about an hour to sort out the 777 for captcha, but even when the captcha displays and is accepted the guestbook entry is not saved, showing "Save guestbook entry failed" as the error to blame.
I have searched this forum high and low for an answer as to why it will not save and have come up with only posts that have the moderators look at the script url of the poster and solve it on a case by case basis.
We need help here! The script is by far the best available as i have seen but this is a major error that has been over looked or not explained in previous posts well enough the resolve!
I have no idea why it wont save the post, there could be many reasons but non are listed or narrowed down enough to eliminate!
I have, though, seen on my server that in the MySQL index that is created under the name "entries" named "primary" on my server is equal to the index "entry_id" and flagged as an error to be deleted or removed. both are set to exactly as Ralf stated in previous posts but this is the only error I can see.
I will be happy to provide any proven moderator of this forum my script url. server credentials and MySQL details provided there is a post in response to any solution that is found to help others! In return would be happy to provide a full dedicated link to this forum or any site they choose on my website!
